crevice the lost in the rubble of a river's tongue held.
tell me here, among the broken fishing nets
that you didn't want the brim's wealth.

i too have stood where water brushes land
listened to the surface ebb
believed
because after all
what do i know of depths?

now comes truth.
i finally horribly learn
that rocks are not pearls.
and the boats have torn the span of my desire.

Alices report on rabbithole#12

Substantial number
of tell tales
of God Smiff
appear random and harmless
Awaiting cross match report
on rocks
with picture of 1000 words in rabbithole#11
Clear evidence of lack of subtletly
suggest possible
bulldozer at work

Alarming red photoshop airbrush
tint to the north
Suit safety monitors indicating
high levels of over reaction,
Unable to get close enough
to collect samples
Suggest further invesitgation as this may account
for lack of life signs
in general area

Pleased to report
small blue thing
as word we have been struggling for
all morning
now located
in lower left quadrant
sending up co-ordinates for
for retrieval

over and out

"The Buddah does not like it in the Rubble"-(c) Meanders 06/27/2002

I looked for nature in the picture
and saw a fat-lipped Buddah in the middle
with bulging eyes, with thick eyebrows
not pleased, not sore,
just querying mangled steel

I cannot say within this rubble,
if lay concrete reinforced steel,
of walls or building
or even of him...
fat sit upon a pedestal,
but broken now...
the Buddah peers at me through steel.

Up and to the left, the teddy bear, in only head
and by the right, a piggie bank it was his head alone we had
no doubt the pennies sunk below, beneath
this monstrous rock steel pile,
resting now in red ocean floor,
a turmoil stirred the night before
when hurricane winds whipped
... these concrete pieces
... hurled them out to sea as sacrifice

Film Strip

inhabiting
real architectures,
computer-driven
installations fall.

010101

when encouraged
to explore,
encounters more
evolve.

in these
technological
times,

data data data

better call in bomb
sniffing dogs
at drive-in
theaters.

film lost in ashes
forever.

The Abyss ____________________

Not even weeds grow below
where once the shark's meat swam

nor does coral glow
in pastels
the way it once prismed under blue water.

Centuries of dryness have drained
the Earth's idea

and I haved searched forever
it seems
in the rubble of rock looking
for its first lie.

i am not looking for why
i may be looking for what is beneath
something long ago lost
with the discovery of fire
with the discovery of power
with the discovery of discovery
i am looking for what i have lost
i am looking for what we have lost
i am looking for...touch
with what is beneath
what we have become
