if i want to use some of the emoticons you have on your board....how do i get them over to my email? like is there a way of putting them on my email toolbar or something more accessible?

if you upgrade to MSN 8 - or open an account - it comes with those emoticons.
but Yahoo! also uses a bunch of emoticons.  different, but it's free.
Hotmail uses these all too familiar toolbar emoticons.  that too is free.
 
you can check out Yahoo!s emoticons by going to our Emoticons Album - all the ones in the beginning --- i lifted from... Yahoo!
 
you can also right click on any emoticon you want & Save As in your Picture Album, or any Folder you create, on your computer's hard drive.  then when you send an email, you can insert the emoticon by browsing to its location and clickclicking on it.
do not send as attachment.  you won't see it.  someone will have to open it to see what the heck it is.

another way to get at these emoticons - the ones on the toolbar -
go to the Slate Board, do a test message with every single emoticon.
Send.
 
then you can right-click your mouse over each Emoticon and Save it.
