A scream, I awaken to the familiar graveyard of home

Assaulted by momentary reality, acidic remnants purge

My gnarled cadaver grudgingly responds as the world rises

Impaling me, before erupting into oblivion

Razors slicing through weeping eyes, a morbid glimpse

At my amputated soul, annexed through crude narcotic surgery

Tremors rock and rack, an epileptic marionette

The monkey opens the cage, the zombie passes through guilt forged

Seeking the puppet master in desperation where he awaits

Entertaining the monkey on the mirror

The rollercoaster stops momentarily, awareness awakens

The mental void folds inward and collapses

Checkmate ……..
