It all started on a Monday ....

Government offices and banks were closed
A three day weekend coming to an end
Today was a day set aside to honor those
Closest to our hearts...our Family and friends

Many chose to ignore the significance of this day
Planning picnics, camping trips, and Bar- B- Q’s
A respite from the weekly grind for some.
They would celebrate in a different way.

She combed her hair and put on a pretty dress
Standing in front of the mirror she smiled
Today she wanted to look her very best
She was solemn as she placed flowers on the graves of
... the two men she loved the most.
