hi
i recently posted a message about uploading photos to an album, everyone tried to help, but still i couldnt load photos! i wrote to msn to find out why and this is the reply i got, maybe you could add it to 'computer tips' or something!
Thank you for writing to MSN Groups regarding pictures.
We’re sorry you're having difficulty with uploading pictures to your
group. Often, removing and reinstalling the MSN Photo Upload Control will
solve the problem. To remove the existing control, if you are using
Internet Explorer:
- Close Internet Explorer if you currently have it open.
- Right click on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop and select
Properties.
- In the General tab, click Settings, then View Objects.
* At this point, please note the names of other controls listed for
possible future reference.
- Right click on MSN Photo Upload Control and select Remove.
- Click OK to close each window associated with these actions.
To reinstall the control:
- Open Internet Explorer and sign-in to MSN Groups.
- Access a photo album in any group to which you belong.
- Click Add A Photo and proceed with the installation of the Upload
Control. If you use another type of browser, consult the Help for adding
and removing ActiveX controls.
At your earliest convenience, please again try to upload photos in the
manner in which you wrote us about. If unsuccessful, separate one photo
image into a file by itself on your hard drive and attempt to load only
this photo. If this is successful, you may need to create files that
contain fewer photo images from which to upload into MSN Groups.
