UPDATING MSN MESSENGER

Windows XP users already have the upgraded version, it came with their software.

(1) You first need to check to see if your MSN Messenger does need updating. (the version you want is 4.6).

Click on "Start" then "Control Panel" then "Remove Programmes"

Look for MSN Messenger.....if it is NOT 4.6 you need to upgrade.

Highlight the older version and click on "Remove"

(2) Go to MSN home page and click on "MSN Messenger" in the list on the left

Click on "Download Now" (make sure the box for 'close after download' is NOT ticked)

Click on "Save to Computer"

(It takes about 8 minutes to download the file....go and make a cuppa!!)

Click on "Open Folder" (this takes you to the My Download Files box)

Click on "File"

Click on "Open" (it will now install the updated Messenger)

Restart computer

UPDATING INTERNET EXPLORER

You can easily update Microsoft Internet Explorer to the most current version by connecting to http://www.microsoft.com/ie/ie.htm. There you can view information about or download the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer for Windows version 3.1.

To update Microsoft Internet Explorer

From the Start menu, choose Internet Explorer Updates.
Or click the Internet Explorer Updates toolbar button.
