Mom's Whiskey Willies
8 oz chopped candied cherries
8 oz chopped candied pineapple
8 oz chopped dates
1/2 cup whiskey
1/2 tsp vanilla
mix together and soak the candied fruit overnight in an airtight container.
cream together 1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
3 slightly beaten eggs
Mix in a separate bowl
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 cup pecans
Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and once those are blended slowly mix in by hand the soaked fruits into the whole thing.
Drop by tablespoon onto a cookie sheet and Bake @ 350º until golden brown
(about 12 minutes)
