INGREDIENTS: 2 ounces instant espresso coffee powder 3 1/2 cups white sugar | 2 cups boiling water 1 pint vodka 1 whole vanilla bean | DIRECTIONS: 1. | Mix coffee and sugar. Add boiling water and stir until dissolved. Cool. | 2. | Add Vodka and pour into two 26 ounce empty bottles. Split vanilla into 4 pieces and add to bottles. | 3. | Close bottles tightly and keep in a cool dark place for one month. | |

Coffee Flavored Liqueur I | | | Prep Time: 10 Minutes Cook Time: 15 Minutes | Ready In: 25 Minutes Yields: 32 servings | "Vodka is flavored with coffee and vanilla, then sweetened with brown sugar. Excellent for sipping, and makes a nice gift!" INGREDIENTS: 4 cups brown sugar 3 1/2 cups water 1/2 cup instant coffee granules | 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 (750 milliliter) bottle vodka | DIRECTIONS: 1. | In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, water and instant coffee. Bring to a boil, then let simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat, and cool completely. | 2. | When coffee mixture is completely cool, stir in vanilla and vodka. Pour into dark colored bottles, and store in the refrigerator. | |
