Secrets of Ginger

Ginger is one of the most highly valued spices in the world, renowned not only for the spicy flavor it gives to food--including holiday gingerbread!--but for its healing properties. The ancient Greeks used it to counteract the effects of poison, and traditional Chinese medicine recommends it for a vast array of ailments from respiratory issues to toothache. Today, healers rely on ginger to combat digestive and joint complaints, ease mood swings, and help to boost the libido.
