If you are experiencing difficulties, you might want to remember to "get back to basics" by grounding and centering, meditation daily devotions, and pyschic self-defense techniques. Yes, these are all mental activites, yet they form the strong foundation of magickal work.
Sometime..... the activity of meditating every day alone (or using other meditations) actually exercises your ability to protect yourself from negativity, relieves stress, and urges you to think about the divine. This is sometimes called SHIELDING OR WARDING. It only takes a few moments and fits easily into even the busiest of days.
Find a place where you will not be disturbed. Sit comfortably in a chair. You can play soft music if you like. Close your eyes. Ground and Center. Take three nice, deep breaths. Count down from ten to one. Imagine that your are surrounded by white light. Allow that white light to grow stronger. The light becomes a solid shield around your body. Now surround the white light with a web of stars. This web is lik an electrical force field. When any negativity touches the web, it disintergrates. The waves that result from these tiny explosions turn into positive energy clinging to the net, (which reinforces your net!).
If you have trouble visualizing this...... think about a bug light... the bug hits the light, and zap! the light gets brighter. Hold that visualization as long as your can. Then, taking a deep breath, reach out with your heart and feel Spirit's presence and allow that peaceful feelking to flow through your whole being. Take a another deep breath.....count from one to five and slowly open your eyes. Practice at least twice a day.....Every day.....
You will find after about 2 weeks of practice, you will be able to use this same meditation to protect your friends, pets and famly. You simply visualize them in the white light. Practice as part of your daily prayers that include your loved ones.
