The friend I never knew

I read through the remembrances and I wonder what to write about a person so well known and loved What came to me was the phrase above. I knew ery for only a very short time, I can not claim to know her well. But I can tell what I came to know from those who were close to her and whom she touched deeply.

I know she was loyal, steadfast and a true friend to those who knew her well.

When her name was spoken it was with a smile and with fondness from the one speaking.

She was held in great esteem from all who came in contact with her.

She knew who she was, this i gleaned from various writings of hers i feel honored to have read.

She spoke up for her beliefs and listened with with interest to those whose opinions differed.

At the time I came to know ery her time was already drawing near. What struck me most about this young woman was her unwavering commitment to those she loved and her graceful demeanor.

I am grateful i got to know her even a little bit as it is amazing what impact one special person can have even in a short amount of time.
