The Miracle of Friendship

There's a Miracle called Friendship
that dwells within the heart.
And you don't know how it happens
or when it gets its start...
But the happiness it brings you
always gives a special lift,
and you realize that friendship
is God's most precious gift!

ery... when i say her name, when thoughts of her race through my head, it's all i need to bring an instant smile upon my face.  Unlike Kelly, ery, and many others, those of you who know me, know i am not very creative or poetic with words.  With that said, I now speak to you from my heart.

I remember the very first time I met ery.  I remember thinking how absolutely adorable she was.  How sweet she was, but mostly.. how very playful she was.  I immediately liked her and we became instant friends.  Little did I know at the time how much this beautiful sweet girl would impact my life forever.

I learned very quickly with ery how accepting she was.  How eager to lend an ear; How selfless;  Not once did you ever hear ery in "poor me" mode.  Ever!!!  Her strength was not only amazing, but it seemed to radiate and latch onto others giving them incredible strength as well.  Sounds wierd I know, but oh so true.

I could go on forever about all the nights ery and I spent together laughing, crying, trying to figure people out, getting our frustrations out if we were hurting, using one another as sounding boards trusting the other would set us straight if our thinking went awry.  There are very few people in my life that I can say touched me as deeply as ery did. There was nothing I couldn't talk to her about and know it was safe with her.  True friends like that are hard for me to come by and accept, but ery was immediate.

When it came to Kelly and ery as a couple, they constantly amazed me with their intense love.  It is very rare to see such committment between two as was so evident between them.  Their love ran deep to their core and they were an inspiration to all of us.  I feel so completely blessed to have been included in that circle of love.  I have learned so much from both of them, and the legacy will go on forever.  There are just some things and some people we never ever forget.

ery, I celebrated your life with you here on earth, and I continue to celebrate your life always.  You truly are an angel and are right up there where you belong - among God's special angels.  I love you, and pray for you, Kelly, and your family always.  Thank you so much for touching my life in such a unique and beautiful way.
