Came across this one in a merchants recently and thought I'd recommend it to you all to try. It's heavy and fruity (just like me!!). Just the thing for a warm summer's evening after a hard days graft at work or in your garden slurp

Oops, forgot to say what wine it was, doh!!                             Chianti Superior 2000, and it comes from Duca Bortini di Montebello.   (I love the names of these Italian vineyards)

Yeh!! First the bad news......I ordered some Montepulciano that was on offer from a wine shop I visit sometimes and they sent me the wrong wine. Now the good news....the shop apologised and said try one with our compliments for the inconvenience" so I did and its greeeeaaaatttt!!! And they let me have it for the same price as the Monte which was actually cheaper.
Its called "CONNUBIO" comes from the Toscana region and is made from Sangiovese grape. Got a kick as well at 13%.
You can view their website here http://www.lesolive.com/

Hehe, I 've just knocked back a nice bottle of "Aglianico del Vulture" The names rather appropriate as it has a bit of "bite" to it. This is from the Duca Montebello vinyard and it's a 2001 vintage. Did I mention I have another 11 bottles of the stuff .... hic!!
