Moonlight on the Beach

The wind stirred
Turning up the sand
Along the beach we walked
Hand in hand

A light spotted shore
The tilley lamps hissed
Picking the spots
Where the anglers fished

Harbour lights flickered
And shone red, green and blue
How happy I was
Just being with you

The stars in the sky
Twinkled high above
The moon looked down
Knew we were in love

One day maybe
These steps we'll retrace
A little older, wiser
And at a steadier pace
