Even if someone complains, MSN isn't going to one dm thing about it. I've been in comms where all they ever do is insult people and curse people out all day long and get like 1-2000 posts a week. Don't tell me people haven't complained about that comm, and I know it's still up and running because I know someone who is in that comm.
This reminds me of the whole MSN changing the server host of the adult comms back in november. Everyone was all in a tizzy about it, I said not to worry about it cause they're only changing the people in charge of servers, and low and behold not one adult comm got shut down.
The bottom line is if MSN wanted to stop people from cursing they wouldn't need to rely on people complaining they would just write a script to filter bad words out like the do in chat. (I know a thing or two about web development, so trust me on that.) There would be nothing to stop them from doing so. I ask why don't they do it, if they don't want people to curse in comms? They don't care if you curse, and you could curse as many times in here as you want and nobody is going to do anything about it.
I can respect the decisions of the managers here, but know that that decision is based on what you want to see in your comm and nothing to do with what you think MSN will do. (because they won't) |

I beg to differ young man, Roo and I have both been in comms where msn has decided to shut them for petty reasons. And yes it is our decision to keep an eye on the language used but it is a decision made because a lot of hard work has gone into this group and we dont want to give any valid reasons for them to close it.We are not adult rated anymore so we DO have to be careful of the contents. On a personal note I wouldnt want to be in a comm such as the one you mentioned, I go into groups for a chat and a laugh,if I want to be sworn at or insulted i'd ring up my ex So stop whittling, put your toys back in the pram and come into my dungeon to be punished |

Um... doesn't this kind of defeat your point, Lee? Anyway... As has been said the reasons for this rule are irrelevant. By joining the group you have agreed to abid by the managers' rules. It isn't hard not to swear, you just don't do it. Simple. No debate just do what the manager says or leave... Sorry, I don't see the problem. I am a member of many adult groups too and to be honest I don't have a problem not swearing. Just don't do it simple as that. It isn't hard. |
