New Year's Resolutions IV
Cross and Hamid

Backstage the scene opens up on an automatic pop. Face to face for the first time in over a year is Hamid Ismaili and Cross.

Hamid: Cross.

Cross: Hamid.

Hamid: You know, tonight is a very important night for both of us. For you, it's everything you want in this business and for me it could be good or bad. With you at the top of the mountain I know W2K will aspire to be great. With NED, he'll either kill us or hold us up high, but it's a gamble I'm not willing to take.

Cross: Hamid, it isn't a gamble. When me and NED go one on one with nothing to distract me, there's no way he'll get that title before I do.

Hamid: But what if there are distractions? Cross I don't trust NED as far as I can throw him.

Cross: Well I can throw him pretty damn far and trust me. Nic E Dangerously would never cheat to win this match. It's too important, he wouldn't tarnish the title he wants so bad. I may not like him but I at least respect him.

Hamid: I hope you're right, but if you're not I'll be there.

Cross: No you won't. NED won't have any help and I'll be damned if I do either. This is between me and him, if you wanna do something to help put my cage around us, other than that STAY OUT OF IT!

A noticeable spark is seen in Cross' eyes as he yells this last statement out at Hamid before he turns and walks out of scene.

Hamid: I hope you're right, for the good of all of us.
