This was a fairly short contest which started with huge pace, mainly by Loose Cannon who nailed Michaels with three dropkicks in a row... Michaels would get right back up though to his credit, nailing Cannon with a hip toss. Cannon was not deterred though, driving the heavier Michaels back with stiff right hands to the jaw... Cannon was reversed into an irish whip, bouncing off the ropes before Michaels nailed him with a Belly to Belly Overhead suplex. Michaels slowed the pace down - too much. Taking too much time, Cannon managed a couple of desperation toe kicks to his gut to regain the advantage, hitting Michaels with a superb Russian Leg Sweep before springboading off the middle rope for a Moonsault! The pin collected only a two count though.

Cannon continued the offence, nailing Michaels with a snap suplex and going for his "Fro Pick of Justice" finisher but Michaels managed to deny him the opportunity. Countering into a standard DDT on Loose Cannon. Michaels went up top but Cannon was too clever, playing possum, and quickly scrambled over to Michaels before he could take flight. A couple of stiff shots to the jaw saw Michaels looking jaded, Cannon hooked up his head.. nailing a HUGE Spike-DDT down onto the top of Michaels head! Rob Michaels drooooped to the floor, with Cannon collecting a simple win.
