Here's the story that I found on the internet.

Hulkamania will live forever!

A few weeks ago, I told you all about Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling, a show that should be seen as not only the last gasp of the former WWF champ's career, but also as his best chance to pay off the family whose son Nick Hogan put into a coma following his ill-conceived foray into the world of drunken drag racing.

What I wondered about at the time was which celebrities would be desperate enough to sign on for this show. Thankfully, the weeks of nonstop pondering have come to an end as CMT has announced the cast for Celebrity Championship Wrestling. And, amazingly enough, there isn't a name attached to the show that would surprise you.

The list: Danny Bonaduce, Dennis Rodman, and Dustin Diamond (Screech from Saved by the Bell, although you might know him from amateur pornography) are the headliners, with Todd Bridges (Willis from Diff'rent Strokes), super-heavyweight boxer Butterbean, Trichelle Canatella (pioneering reality TV slut from The Real World, as well as a Surreal Life alumni), Erin Murphy (Tabitha Stevens from Bewitched), Frank Stallone (Sylvester's less talented brother), '80s pop star Tiffany and Playboy playmate Nikki Ziering (no relation to Ian) rounding out the rest of the cast.

Of course, to the astute TV observer, this list of people could easily be called "Former celebs who are about to default on their mortgages." Happily, though, it's that very fact that will make Celebrity Championship Wrestling eminently hilarious and utterly watchable. What could be funnier than watching Dennis Rodman fight his little heart out week after week in hopes of staying on the show and having a chance to pay the child support of a few of his illegitimate children? I simply can't envision a scenario more delightful than watching Trichelle practicing her fake wrestling moves in the unwavering belief that this is going to be the show to finally jumpstart her fledgling career. And Frank Stallone!? My friends, this is truly a gift from the comedy gods. I wish I could preorder the DVDs from Amazon right now.

When I first heard about Hulk's Celebrity Wrestling, I was mildly intrigued, if only for the chance to see Hogan challenge the world record for self-inflicted humiliation. But now that I know that Danny Bonaduce and Todd Bridges are involved, I can say with great assurance that I'll never miss an episode. The show has quickly upgraded from ridiculous oddity to potentially the greatest freak show in reality TV history, and I couldn't be more excited about it!

I can only hope that there's an appearance by Vince McMahon and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake.
