</MYMAILSTATIONERY> A Witches Spellbook
There are two distinct books that form the backbone of the Green Witch approach to the Craft-
1. the spellbook, which contains the information gathered over the years of practice and experience from which spells, charms, and rituale may be designed it's a useful tool that the Green Witch composes, rather like a recipe book, under different headings.
2. The Book of Rituals recognizable as a type of Book of Shadows, which contain rites for the Sabbats and Esbats.
You can use lined, or unlined, bound journals with decorative covers, (found in most book stors and the dollar store) you can use small tabs to index pages.
The book will acquire a friendly useful feel about it as you fill it with pertinents information. you can select the cover that appeals to you and expresses what you want to achieve in the Craft. You can use the solid black if you prefer, but being a Green Witch using the green element colors seem right. - greens, and browns, flowers, and herbs, sun and moon, sky and Earth. - (Ann Moura's spellbook is brown with a green, leafy vine around it and a red-orange rose in the center, and her book of rituals (BOS) if green with clusters of gold leaves and red roses in the corners.)
You can also have, besides a spell book and book of rituals (B.O.S.) A book of Divinations and a journal that is also a dream diary, and a record of impressions from other events, such as meditations and visions.
You can also keep your keep your dream journals, divination records and descriptions of their 'encounters' under the heading "encounters with the Otherworld." or just "The Otherworld" doing this is highly recommended. as over the years you'll look back on these 'encounters' and say "oh I see..." sometimes it takes a while for knowkedge to sink in...
