Charms bags are easy to make and can be done with anything you have in the house. Check out the herb page to find the herb for the outcome you would like (protection, love etc). In a pinch a coffee filter and a twist tie work well for a bag/pouch...

Amulet for courage, happiness, and money.
ingredients:
thyme (courage),
marjoram (happiness),
cinnamon (money),
quartz crystal (empowered for all purposes)

Cleanse self and space. Cast Circle. Hand sew a small piece of white fabric into a small pouch, leaving the open. Make sure that you sew with power. Empower the Herbs and the crystal. Say out loud "From this charm I create, only courage, happiness and money are to follow. In no way shall this spell reverse, or place upon me any curse. This is my will, so mote it be." Keep this amulet in your bag or pocket. It may need to be topped up with more empowered herbs and crystals after about 6 weeks

Charm Bag
This spell is to help dispell negative energies around you and involves making a talisman.

Take a small clear crystal, an acorn, some rosemary and mandrake and a bit of green silk or cotton. It doesn't need to be a big piece. Cast your circle and creating a pouch from the herbs, bless them with each element saying

"While this dwells within, there will be protection without.
Cleanse and charge this charm, element of against all who wish me ill!"

Now hang this somewhere not too obviously, like hiding it in a corner or over a window. This will protect you till next Samhain when you should burn it in the sacred fire, crystal and all. If it is not too tainted, the fire will just cleanse the crystal and you'll be able to retreive it from the ashes but I always recomend just getting a new one.

Charm for protection in the snow

Ingredients:
One peppercorn
A pinch of salt
Pinch of powdered ginger
Pinch of powdered cloves
A small pinch of red cotton cloth,

Place the peppercorn in you bowl saying and visualizing: I charge you with protection Place the salt in saying: I charge you with stability Place the cayenne pepper in saying: I charge you with warmth. Place the ginger in saying: I charge you with protection Place the cloves in saying: I charge you with protection.

Mix the assembled spices and salt with your fingers, visualize yourself having a safe health, guarded time. Now transfer the herbs to the center of the cloth squares. Fold in half and in half again and sew up the ends. Carry this with you. Make a new charm ever snowy season.

Charm to ease a broken heart
You will need:
1 teaspoon honeysuckle
1 teaspoon cyclamen
1 teaspoon lemon balm
6-inch square yellow cloth
orange calcite
lavender
ribbon or yarn

On Sunday, mix the herbs and flowers together and place them in the center of the cloth. As you add the herbs, chant:

Herbs of sweetness, herbs that soothe,
I ask you now this grief remove.
Bring to me new peace and joy
and all the sweetness you employ.

Add the orange calcite and say:

Sunny stone that amplifies.
Mix with these herbs and magnify
The goodness of their properties,
and grant me new peace and ease.

Gather the cloth edges together to form a pouch. Secure the pouch with the ribbon and carry it on your person.

Hungarian Gypsy Love Charm
A powerful tool for keeping two people together, is to take a lock of your hair and a lock from your mate (always ask permission first). The hair should be cut in the waxing cycle of the moon. Tie the locks together with red silk thread or ribbon.

Picture yourself and your mate together while tying the knot, and as you tie it, say:

Then wear the hair in a locket above the heart

Safe Car Charm

Ingredients:
bay
clove
cinnamon
earl grey tea

This charm is used to keep your car from getting hit, towed, etc. Prepare a plastic zipper-lock bag chock full of bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and Earl Grey tea. (Please empty the tea out of the tea bag and into the zipper bag, or use loose tea.)Place this bag in the glove compartment, trunk, or under the seat. Make sure it is hidden from plain sight. This will also affect the aura of the car making it somewhat invisible or unlikely to attract attention.
