I was asked this week what makes me a witch and why do I think myself as one. I found it a hard question to answer. Was I trained? answer is yes and no. I was a witch long before I knew what it meant to be one, and before I knew what a Witch is. Witch, Stregheria, Hag, Crone, there are many titles, to many ,but few no the real answer to the title Witch. I am a woman of the old religeon and have a double
spirit, one is my Italian from my father side which is stregheria and Native American on my mother side. Both are different and both are the same in teaching about protecting our Mother Earth and beliving in the Spirits and Creator. The simularity is unbeliveable, I find it most annoying to have to explain myself as a Witch, but is accepted as a Spirit talker.

Wiccan's were people who lived outside of the towns and villages who were closly aline with nature.
Wiccan's were the healers,doctore and midwives. They had knowledge of herbs and there therapeutic and magical properties.they were the psychologist for the towns people with problems, they were the clergy for they were called upon for spiritual advise, they were the leaders.
Witch is a wise person with the knowledge of nature and the use of the ebb and the flow of this knowledge wisely. A true Witch always seek harmony and attunement with every object of nature.
Witchcraft is the Craft of the Wise. it is a system of attuning ones self to nature and useing attunement constructivity and for the good of all.
Witches are not Atheist, we do belivein God. The differencw is the Witch God is a duality of a God and Goddess.
This idea of duality is similar to ther Yin and Yang of the Orient.
Witches belive in duality exist through out nature as female and male.
The creation of all life can only proceed from and be understood through this duality.
Witchese profess personal responability every action we perform is our own and cannot blame anyone else. Our krama is our belief it comes back threefold.
So when I am asked what is a Witch I say a Witch is a person who honors nature and belives in both God and Goddess, A Witch has deep respect and knowledge of natures, who can heal, council others when needed. Who is responable for his own action and choices in life. Who belives in the law of cause and effect and opts to do good. A Witch is a person who belives in never harming anyone or anything.
A Witch is a person who will always wish you the very best on what ever path you chose.
