The jury is still out on the future of group chat, but it is not looking good. CF called the adult group thing correctly. As much as I hate to have to accept it, the odds that they are correct this time are very great. We would be very foolish to not have a contingency plan in place. Ideally, we are hoping to host our own chat on our own servers. This will insure that we won't be evicted again. There are quite a few details yet to be worked out with this plan. We will keep you posted as we progress.
You can help. If it becomes a given that MSN is pulling the plug, don't bail. If anything make an extra effort to come to chat and bring friends. If you don't have a chat ticker in your group, get one. The ticker will keep you updated and is linked to a page in here that will be used to direct chatters to our new home. Above all, remain positive and try to encourage a positive attitude amongst your fellow group members.
