Not sure who invited me to this board.I know why i was invited, just not sure .Well,my name is johnny b.Im a survivor of sexual abuse.Right now im involved with another message board on AOL.Im still again, not sure about this board.I see folks talkin about their abuse, but do not see anyone helping these guys get past their abuse. No,there is no way we could ever forget our abuse but it does not have to be a factor in our every day lives.I hop everyone is safe today and will chat more later on.Thanks for thge invite and might all have a good sunday.

Hi and nice to hear from you.  Much of the work done in this group is behind the scenes with the site being more of an information directory.  If you want to help please post a profile and tell others how you survived child abuse.

Good suggestion, Michael. If we're willing to share our "strength, hope and experience," I think some of us - starting with myself, if anyone's interested - might want to share our individual decline, fall and ascension from addiction. I'm told mine, though, isn't the usual "how-I-turned-alcoholic" story. It started when my father stabbed me in the leg at age 14 and tossed me into the streets, then had to be anyone's "young meat" to eat and have a place to sleep in the winter, and then from there to being widowed at age 27 and losing a 7-month-old son, seeing nine younger brothers and sisters die before me and climaxing on a Friday night in May 2002 when I survived being an intended murder victim by shooting and killing one of two assailants with his own gun. Anyone interested in how an alcoholic survives this?
