I saw this movie earlier this year at a screening here in <st1:Sn w:st="on"><st2:City w:st="on"><st2:place w:st="on">Chicago</st2:place></st2:City></st1:Sn>. I had the opportunity to meet the director <st2:PersonName w:st="on"><st1:GivenName w:st="on">Jay</st1:GivenName> <st1:Sn w:st="on">Corcoran</st1:Sn></st2:PersonName>, who has directed a two other documentaries Life and Meth on the A-List and Undetectable, both just as great as Rock Bottom. I really recommend this film (actually all 3 of them). It is really intense. <o:p></o:p>

"Rock Bottom" follows the journeys of seven gay men struggling with meth addiction and recovery against a backdrop of an emerging second wave of HIV infection." <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
The director was able to show the affects of meth in the LBGTQ community without any judgments. I cried several times during the movie because it was like I was watching my "past life" and friends come back to life on the screen. He was able to show it all in avcompassionate way. That's what hit me the most. <o:p></o:p>

Warning: This movie can (will) cause triggers to creep up. Watch it with other recovery folks and have your sponsor's number on speed dial and ready to go. <o:p></o:p>
