Knowing it's the holiday's it's obvious we won't be at full force; however, I will be reaching out with some organizations that I feel may be worth reaching out to and as steadfast as I can find someone to help us with our non-profit status and climbing that mountain.

In the mean time, please either respond to this thread or e-mail myself or Ed what you would like to see us pursue as possible projects and if you would like to be come involved.

Mark is contemplating creating some possible projects in the D.C. area with HIV treatments.  If we can get people with a bit of ambition behind them then we will pursue good causes and brainstorm on the fundraising and other efforts that need to come into play.

Once a project is established, those that have chosen to become involved with the project we will create a workshop of sorts.  We have restricted access blogs on the Multiply and Aimoo sites that are designed for this and we will plan the project accordingly using some of those tools.

The more resources that we build the more we can ask those resources for donations.  The more donations that we receive that exceed operating costs and project costs can also be donated to other causes that may be sponsored by another organization.  Working together and in unison for the benefit of an individual, local community, or community at large is the purpose and if we can assist with that in a non-threatening way then we shall, if is a benefit for the cause. Some organizations are going to claim territory and we will have to be mindful of that.

So, allow this thread to breath some ideas and a list of what we might or should pursue first and then we can take the project to the next level and see who may want to handle what and when a good time to report back during the course of the project.

Will post this on different user groups shortly.  Once we have a decided project, we can post a message on the main website directing those that may be interested through the channels; one for updates on the project perhaps, and the restricted workshop for those that are working on the assignment(s).

If and quite possibly a local assignment is started, then the web community may be used only to post updates due to participation being handled in the local community hands on.

So, now that the web stuff is about ironed out and we have the tools available, let's come up with some proposed plans of what we would like to pursue and in what order.

The planning for some of these project is going to take patience and well thought strategies.  There will be frustrations and times when the goal is right at the edge of our finger tips but the funding is not; especially in today's economy.

We will keep pursuing, keep networking, keep asking, keep pleading.  This is the nature of the business; steadfast determination and knowing when to make a case, and when not to.  Knowing when to back off and when to pursue is a talent that is never mastered, only improved upon.  It is a challenge that I look forward to.  I hope some of you do too, as the reward for an acheivement well sought, strategically planned for, and worked hard for makes all the work worth it when we help the individual or community.

Simultaneously, we need to figure out ways we can bring in new memberships to our user groups, and more attention to our causes, our company, and our website.

It's up to all of us to make something work so let's do it!

Brandon
