Hmmm, it seems that Aimoo takes a snapshot of your old group and sets it aside as a memorial. The messages may be archived but they are disabled. A fresh forum is provided (basically a blog) and you use one of their skins. Some of them aren't bad and then I guess you can use some background design of your choice. Hmm, okay I guess we'll go for that.
The days of a fully functional free website looking group are over though. Google is as close to what we have on MSN as we're going to get and they don't support most Markup language.
So, again I'm glad we've got the website that does support many different areas. If you don't like one room you can go to the next. These other new services are everything up front with some links to other forums/blogs and that's about it folks, lol!
Times have changed and they've changed drastically. I didn't know this had become the norm but evidentally it has for free user groups. I guess I sound like an old timer complaining as to why they don't use real chrome on cars anymore
We'll get started soon so we can figure out how we're going to set things up before MSN pulls the plug. Also, how we're going to gain new membership. We won't be nearly as publicly noticed with these new services, especially Multiply. They use a numeric combination in their site URL's that doesn't allow search engine crawlers so the exposure will be nill and pretty much isolated to whomever is a member of Multiply. They do have a decent sized community so we'll see.
