Hello, I'm new to this group. I have A.V.N.(arterial vascula neucrosis) because my doctor left me on a steroid too long. It is painful and cruel. I have a lover of 16 years and he has been by my side but he has been offered a dream job and he can no longer be my care giver and I need more monitering and my docter and my lover are talking nursing home. My family abanded me when I came down with HIV 24 years ago. I wish I could die now and save evereybody the guilt for abandening me. You know the visits at first will be frequent but It will end up with tight schedules and just phone calls. I can say with Pride that my lover is still HIV-

Hey Tommy, welcome to the group.  Good to have you here.  Michael here from Australia.  Where are you from?  Maybe we as a group can find you some support in your area.

Welcome Tommy and thankyou for your introduction!

My name is Brandon from Yuma, AZ.

I really feel for you and though I wouldn't consider the nursing home an option  I'll leave my opinion out of this for now.

I agree that possibly we can work on some research for you however what are your options now?  Does your insurance cover in home care and to what extent?

Again, welcome to the group!  We're glad you're here!

Brandon

Hello, I live in Seattle, Wa. It is funnny that you are from Australia. Adair who is my lover has been there 8 times. Most were gifts from me. He even had someone move from there to try and break us up.There is a 20 year difference in our ages. He had just came out when I met him so I had a challenge in allowing him to develop his own personality. I gave him a bar that I would not go in unless he asked me to join him. I worked alot to support our life style and I encouraged him to go out on his own. I didn't want him tricking around the city so I encouraged him to travel. When he traveled I always told him to learn somthing new. We have had a great love for 16 years
