Ashley's Today's Scripture *December 28, 2008*
Zechariah 9:4
But the Lord will take away her possessions and destroy her power on the sea, and she will be consumed by fire.
Christmas has just passed and many people have received new gifts. I myself have received an IPod and I am very, very happy with it. There are some things that I need to remind myself of though. With receiving many awesome gifts you'll want to play with them and do what they were meant for. But we need to remember that God needs to come first.
As it says in this Scripture your possessions will be destroyed if you favor and only pay attention to those earthly possessions.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for the gifts that we received this Christmas. I pray that we will not let those gifts consume us.
I pray that we will focus on you 24/7.
