there's one way to find out if you got that pop-up bug...

do a "system restore" to a point just prior to having this problem.  "system restore" is very safe and you don't really lose any data, just any programs that you may have installed... BUT NOT THE DATA!

IF YOU CAN'T DO A SYSTEM RESTORE, YOU HAVE THAT STUPID POP UP BUG AND YOU NEED TO EITHER REINSTALL XP [WHICH I HAD TO DO] OR I SUPPOSE YOU COULD TRY ONE OF THOSE ZAPPER PROGRAMS.

ANOTHER WAY I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT'LL TELL YOU IF YOU HAVE THAT BUG IS TO GO TO ONE OF THE "ANTI-VIRUS" AKA "ANTI-BOB?" [LOL, JUST KIDDING] SITES.  I'M TOLD THAT WHEN YOU GO TO MACEFEE [SP] OR NORTON SITE, IF YOU HAVE THE BUG, IT DISCONNECTS YOU FROM THE INTERNET WHEN YOU TRY TO VISIT ONE OF THE ANTI-VIRUS SITES...

hope this helps,
jfo
