Our main puter with Windows XP Pro is now down.  My son deleted some things from the system because he thought it was spyware and we had been having some real problems with pop-ups of all kinds driving us crazy.  Running Ad-Aware and deleting all that garbage was no longer helping so he tried to do some things manually and now we cannot load WIN XP.  We can get to the initial user account sign-in, but as soon as you type in the password and it attempts to load your personal settings it then suddenly goes into shutdown mode.  VERY FRUSTRATING!  Would you or anyone else happen to have any suggestions?  Since we cannot even get to the desktop I am completely at a loss as to how to proceed.  Thanks for any and all suggestions.
