Sheldon noted that the gains in equities have typically come in the first six months of a ratings hike cycle, citing an average 8.1 percent appreciation in the S&P 500 in that period from the start of the last four tightening periods. A year after the start of the past four cycles, the S&P 500 was up only 3 percent, on average, he said.
 
OHHHH, ride me sheldon!!!  friggin ahole, the last four times didn't include an explosion in M1, duffuss?
