they sell xxia stock to shareholders to make their profits and feed their families.

the more xxia shares you buy the more xxia shares they sell.

JFO yes, I bought it at 22.50, just 20 cents above the bottom and sold it Thursday for 30.22 - close to the top and I just wanted to 'say' Thank You for the reminder Thursday - at work I have limited time and your post was most appreciated.

NEW YORK ?Alcoa Inc. on Monday reported fourth-quarter results that missed Wall Street projections as the aluminum giant was racked by setbacks from hurricane-related refinery slowdowns to restructuring costs.

The company reported profit of $224 million (U.S.) or 26 cents a share, compared with $268 million, or 30 cents a share, a year-earlier. Earnings from continuing operations were $210 million, or 24 cents per share.

This broadly missed Wall Street projections for earnings of 37 cents per share during the period, according to analysts polled by Thomson Financial.

The strong price of aluminum drove revenue to $6.67 billion from $5.98 billion reported during last year's fourth quarter. Sales were slightly below Wall Street projections for $6.69 billion during the quarter.

Alcoa said its bottom line was slammed by a number of setbacks that shaved $93 million, or 11 cents per share, from its earnings. Chiefly among there were lowered production at refineries in Jamaica and Texas due to the Gulf Coast hurricanes, an unplanned outage in an Australian smelting plant, strikes at its Spanish operations, and restructuring costs.

Shares of the company were trading down $1.04, or 3.4 per cent, at $29.53 in after hours trading on the INET electronic exchange. Shares closed at $30.57 on the New York Stock Exchange.

a month or so ago, i was tryin' to pin down the earnings on aa, but i couldn't get a feel.

that call was off the chart alone because if aa had posted good earnings, they would have rallied.

i couldn't pin down a feel for the earnings.

but xjt, ulbi, and lmnx i can.

xjt would be stupid not to work a deal with cal and get some "earnings" back.

ulbi's bad news is out there.

lmnx will lose money and decline in stock price.
