Sami witnessed the mayor dead on the ground on the front steps of the Dimera mansion, moments after a hitman had shot him. The hitman was bent over the mayor checking to make sure he was dead. He then pointed the gun at Sami, who hit it with her purse and fled to the back of the mansion. She burst in on EJ and Nicole getting busy on the couch and when stumbled (literaly) over the corpse when she was storming out, EJ called the police. Now the hitman and whoever he is working for has targetted Sami because she can ID him.
