OMG, I can't stand Hilda.   Nor did I like the other guy.    This whole storyline is really a waste of time and not even remotely interesting IMO.    I wish that the idiotic detective team of Slow & Dope would hurry up and catch the mayor's killer.

IMO Sami is not acting like a spoiled brat.   I don't know anything about police protection programs, but this is ridiculous!   a male cop who smokes and is a vegan is put in the same room to guard a female non-smoker meat eater??????    and this cop gets to decide what food Sami can have?    the we have a female cop who gets to decide what Sami will eat, what she can watch on TV and when she has to go to bed?   And since when does police protection include watching someone in the bathroom?????    you have to sleep sometime --- how are you going to guard someone if you're asleep?    I know this is Salem, but this storyline is over-the-top ridiculous and I feel Sami is being put in a position where is forced to act like a brat.  these so-called cops are treating her more like a prisoner in jail than a witness needing protection. 

well, it is kind of stupid that Sami is so afraid of the killer being after her, yet she doesn't care about using the phone, and she seems to want to get out of that apartment without protection.    She contradicts herself all the time.    But I still don't think she's being a spoiled brat --- I think she's just being plain old stupid! 

I found Hilda to be beyond annoying.    I don't know why the writers tortured us with her blabbering.   Isn't it enough that we have to tortured with Melanie?   

Go to bed at 7:30 to me isn't protocol for witness protection.   I realize that sometimes people in witness protection are criminals who turn evidence against other criminals but Sami is not a criminal but a victim who has barely missed being shot.   I think this is serious and not material for a mini sit-com, a bad mini sit-com. 

And yes Hilda called her a spoiled brat because that is what the writers want viewers to think about Sami that she is a spoiled brat.   They are never going to let her be happy or have her mature.  

The term spoiled brat is derogatory and ambiguous.   Sami is not handling a very bad situation in a rational manner.   Like she said, the killer is free and she is a prisoner.   She needs someone who is sensitive to her traumatic experience and are capable of keeping her safe. 

If I had a choice of dealing with the shooter and being caged up with Hilda, I'd take my chances with the shooter.  lol  

 

she would be better off walking around free with a bodyguard than she is with the 2 idiots she has had protecting her.     TPTB were trying to go for laughs with those 2 cops, but all they did was piss me off.   their so-called humor wasn't funny at all --- it was annoying, like nails on a chalkboard.   I think what I found most annoying was that both cops had a bad attitude right from the start!   C'mon, a cigar-smoking, wise-mouth vegan who gets to decide what food Sami can eat?  A loud-mouth woman putting on a mint-julip face mask eating greasy fatty foods and deciding to go to bed at 7:30 because she has insomnia --- and snores worse than a motor boat?     If this is what the Salem PD has to offer for protecting witnesses, it is no wonder they can't solve any crimes. 

 

Piccolo is right --- if a witness is really a criminal but just testifying to save their own ass, then I can see the cop(s) protecting them being smart-mouthed and not very pleasant.   but Sami isn't a criminal and deserves better protection.
