you are right Sheryl.  Salem's finest cops "Slow & Dope" already knew about Nicole being married to Trent long before he died.   So what?   why does she automatically become a subject?   Maybe the guy from France came over here and killed Trent --- or maybe he had someone do it.   Slow & Dope are assuming it has to be a Salem resident.   according to Melanie, he had major gambling problems so there would probably be lots of people who would kill him if he owed them money.

 

ITA with Sheryl that if Nicole was going to kill Trent, she would have done it before the news of her marriage came out --- so she could keep her settlement from Victor.

 

It was dumb that Caroline was arrested, too because she, as I recall had the bloody knife, but none of her clothing had blood.   I hate to say this, but as I recall the person with blood which was never tested for dna, was none other than Nick.   We all know what a sap he is for defending be-witched damsels in distress and if he walked upon this fight between the be-witched Melanie, well...........  

I don't recall Nick having a physical fight with Trent where he would have gotten blood on him --- but I have a terrible memory.   Max had a shirt with Trent's blood all over it ---- why isn't he being jailed?    Why accuse Nicole just because of a button, yet Max wasn't treated that way and his shirt was covered in blood.    Also, Caroline could have been able to stab Trent and not get blood on her.  in Salem anything is possible......     Slow & Dope said that Caroline was cleared but they never said how she was cleared.  How did they prove she did not kill Trent?????   (I don't think she did ---- I'm just playing devil's advocate)   How was Max cleared of murder????   We never heard that.   It seems like each time Slow & Dope got a new suspect, the previous suspect was automatically cleared.   Duh!!!!!!

 

  In the real world, you have to have more than a button and a ripped up marriage certificate to arrest someone.  

The night that Nick was picked up on DUI he was bloody.   Of course he didn't have a clear cut movtive to kill Trent.   How do you believe that Caroline could have stabbed Trent and not gotten bloody?   Oh, yes, that's right, this is Salem. 

Back to Nicole, she seems sincere.   Unfortunately she does have a lot of  behavior in the past that shows she is capable of commiting the act of murder, even if she didn't succeed.  

But isn't it a little strange that EJ is enraged when he shot John (allegedly), put Lucas in the freezer truck, etc., etc.  

I can't figure out why Bo and Hope hasn't thought of another suspect even more obvious, the guy that Trent owed money to who threatened him if he didn't pay his debt or pimp his daughter to him. Hello! Have they forgotten all about that?

One thing that has always puzzled me is that only Caroline's prints were on the knife.   I know Melanie wiped her fingerprints off the wallet and obviously it's contents, but how could she or whoever the killer was stick the knife in his back and while it was in his back and he was dead man walking could they or would they wipe off their prints.   That means that the murderer probably had gloves on.   Melanie didn't have on gloves did she?   No prints and not one of the suspects have blood on their clothes that would be made after stabbing someone?   Oh, I forgot again.   This is Salem.

I still think Max would be the most likely suspect with his shirt covered in Trent's blood.  instead, they haul Nicole off to jail because of a missing button.    Oh yeah, I forgot, this is Salem!   ROFLOL

Well, Vangelique, you are forgetting that Max--as well as Caroline--are related to Slow and Dope and are therefore "good".  Nicole is a former money-grubbing porn star and therefore "bad".  Slow and Dope enjoy looking down their noses at her..... 

very true Masonmama ---- but what about the wonderful Melanie?  she admitted to arguing with Trent in the cemetery but she blacked out and when she woke up he was dead (or something like that).   And she said in front of many people she wanted to kill him.   But I guess she gets a free pass 'cuz she's related to Max.   Nicole isn't related to anyone, so she's fair game.

the whole thing was ridiculous.  Bo is an idiot IMO.  I feel bad for Nicole--she is an innocent victim if you ask me.  EJ isn't exactly endearing himself to me either.
