I'm enjoying the auditions so far. It looks like we've got some great dancers to look forward to!

So You Think You Can Dance Final Four

So it’ll be the Contemporary girls versus the Hip Hop guys in the finale. I was pretty surprised about the results for the girls. I thought it was going to be Courtney to go this week, not Chelsie. I don’t recall Chelsie being in the bottom yet. With the guys it could have been either Mark or Twitch. I think it would have been more interesting, and there would have been more variety, had Chelsie and Mark danced against Katee and Joshua — no one can dance Latin like Chelsie and Mark — but this’ll still be good fun. Even though Joshua and Twitch are both Hip Hop guys, they have completely different dance personalities. It’s only one week, but I’ll still miss Mark and Chelsie: I think Chelsie’s probably the most versatile Latin dancer ever to be on the show, and I predict Mark, with his originality, has a very promising future. I could see him thriving in many different dance companies, like the fascinating (but not well-enough known!) Misnomer or the famous Pilobolus. And I can eventually see him choreographing.

Fox Takes Another Trip Around the ‘Dance’ Floor

Fox is planning another trip on the hot tamale train, ordering up a fifth season of “So You Think You Can Dance.”

The renewal comes as no surprise: “Dance” has become a summer staple for Fox, not unlike “Big Brother” on CBS. Summer-to-date, the series is among the five most-watched shows in both adults 18 to 49 and 18 to 34.

It’s been a tough summer for many new and returning reality shows. Former NBC hits “Last Comic Standing” and “American Gladiators” have taken major tumbles, though “America’s Got Talent” remains a hit.

Two SYTYCD Contestants Hospitalized Days Before Finale

Two of the final four contestants of So You Think You Can Dance were rushed by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after collapsing at a weekend rehearsal, just days before the show's finale.

"The two dancers rushed to the hospital were Joshua Allen and "Twitch" Boss – both [of the] remaining male contestants," a source not affiliated with the show tells Usmagazine.com.

Boss and Allen were treated for dehydration and released, the source adds. Fox had no comment.

The two will face off against Katee Shean and Courtney Galiano this Thursday as the show crowns America's Favorite Dancer.

Word of Boss and Allen's hospitalization comes on the heels of news that SYTYCD judge Mary Murphy suffered a first-degree ankle sprain at Sunday's Teen Choice Awards in L.A. Murphy is expected to make a full recovery in time for Thursday’s finale.

Two Contestants From So You Think You Can Dance Hospitalized

The contestants on So You Think You Can Dance definitely work hard on the show, but are they pushing these kids too far? Two of the four remaining contestants had to be rushed to Cedars Sinai Hospital after collapsing during rehearsal.

FW’s Joshua Allen feels the pressure as finalist on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’

A few weeks ago, as the pack of contenders on So You Think You Can Dance neared the single digits, Fort Worth’s Joshua Allen was feeling the pressure.

“I’m not really getting a lot of sleep,” he said during a phone interview last month. “You practice 90 percent of the time and sleep the other 10 percent. It’s really hard. Physically and mentally, it’s a challenge.”

That pressure has since increased. Last weekend, he and another contestant in the final four were sent to the hospital to be treated for dehydration.

Where are past ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ winners?

With “So You Think You Can Dance” crowning its newest champion tonight, we wondered what has happened to some of the show’s past winners and finalists. Have they shuffled off to Buffalo, or are they still in vogue? Here’s a look:

Nick Lazzarini The show’s first winner (2005), the Los Angeles-based Lazzarini is a member of the Dance Masters of America, an organization of certified dance instructors. He performed with Tyne Daly, Michele Lee and Susan Anton at the 2006 “Help Is on the Way” AIDS benefit in San Francisco.

Destination ‘So You Think You Can Dance’: Please don’t make them dance anymore

“Whoever’s standing at the end of this marathon recording deserves the crown,” sighs “Dance” titan Nigel Lythgoe at around 11 p.m. The audience has been in the studio since 5 p.m., and although the specifics of the backstage kinks aren’t clear from the bleachers, it’s apparent that this typically well-oiled machine is somehow malfunctioning.

During the lengthy breaks between segments, the audience amuses itself as best it can. At one point, two cheerleading squads enliven the crowd with an impromptu cheer-off. During another break, uber-choreographer Tice Diorio sings a song. “If I make a wrong note, just clap, okay?” He pleads, before belting out Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely.” After the ditty, Diorio holds out the microphone, proclaiming, “take this from me!”

Nine Ways ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Is Better Than ‘American Idol’

Yesterday, we told you that “American Idol” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe is leaving the singing competition to focus on his other show, “So You Think You Can Dance.” I only wonder why he didn’t do it sooner. I’ve never been a fan of “AI,” but I can’t get enough of the summer dance show, which is airing its season-four finale tonight and tomorrow on Fox. Here are nine reasons why the dancers put the singers to shame.

No theme nights — A bad theme can ruin an entire episode. “SYTYCD” fans can rest assured that if (God forbid) “Music of the Night” pops up in a routine, it’ll be the only Andrew Lloyd Webber song they hear all night.

So You Think You Can Dance Yields The Ultimate Summer Playlist

So You Think You Can Dance has been TV’s tastiest summer treat thanks to its cast of high-quality hoofers, but this year, I’ve discovered a second reason to love the show. Indeed, watching SYTYCD (which has its season finale tonight on Fox…sadness!) is now my favorite way to find new songs, and to rediscover great oldies (Viennese waltzes set to the Goo Goo Dolls not included). Below, you’ll find my Top 10 Dance Playlist from SYTYCD’s fourth season*. Press play and enjoy ‘em, then post your favorite songs from the show in the comments section below.

Joshua’s Training

Drew Tomlinson drops a note regarding the reference of “So You Think You Can Dance” winner Joshua Allen as “untrained.”

I am a choreographer and dance instructor. I own a performing arts studio in Texas called Rhythm nation Studios. And want you to know that Joshua had 6 years of training with me.

I’m kind of getting frustrated that the media wants it to look like that he has had zero training, when in fact I worked very hard on Joshua Allen.

Exclusive Interview: Katee Shean of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’

It was quite a shock to So You Think You Can Dance fans on last week’s finale when Katee Shean finished in 3rd place. Perhaps the only thing that made die hard Katee fans feel better was that, as the final female standing, she walked away with $50,000. Practically flawless this season, Katee performed countless memorable routines and received endless amounts of praise from the judges. All the praise in the world couldn’t take her to final 2 though, and she left just short of her goal. Today, she spoke to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview and addressed everything from her breakdown in Vegas to reading what her fans say about her online.

Chelsie Hightower’s Experience on SYTYCD

For those who may not know Chelsie Hightower, she was recently a semifinalist on the popular television dance series “So You Think You Can Dance.” She made it to be one of the top three girls on the nationally syndicated show, which is quite an achievement. She also happens to be a member of my ward. In fact, in the first episode of her audition they featured a clip filmed in her home and the recreational areas of the same residential complex in which I live. She also is an excellent ballroom dancer, a talent and sport which I have been involved with and have personally competed in for many years.
