I know I want to use up some fresh broccoli I have to make a broccoli casserole. But, can't think what I want with it. I thawed some center cut pork chops at lunch (big splurge), so I'm thinking...

Grilled Pork Chops seasoned with Sazon and Goya salt mix.
Crispy Pan Roasted Potatoes
Broccoli Casserole

My favorite dish with broccoli is brocolli and macaroni.  You cook the broccolit an macaroni in sane pot of boiling water. Strain it ( not too dry) and add garlic , olive oil, basil  salt and pepper. YUMMY
What is Sazon and Goya salt mix? Is it a spice?

Both spices are made by Goya and sold in the ethnic section of your grocery store, usually near the Mexican stuff. However, this is a spice from Puerto Rico. It's fabulous on fish, chicken and especially chops. The Sazon has a red color to it and is sold in a box that has little envelopes of it inside. I also use both in my rice and beans. Goya has a lot of products in my grocery store. Everything from spice to dried beans and boxed rice and beans.

My daughter in law turned me on to Sazon and other spanish spices.  I can now make a mean rice dish...well, almost.

I am going to have to look for it and try it. Might be a good way to cook skinless boneless chicken breast so I can have a different taste treat from Jenny Craig

Betty, I'm so glad you liked it.

My sister and her hubby didn't care for it. But they are very picky eaters and never had an artichoke in their life before. I probably shouldn't have told them what it was.

An example of how picky they are...my sister will not eat any green veggies, but I made Spinach pinwheels for a party once. She didn't know it was spinach and was raving about them. When I told her what it was, she was shocked. Her hubby isn't as picky as her though. She eats with her eyes. At 50, she's missed out on a lot of good food experiences.

Bubu, it is good but just remember a little goes a long way on chicken. I love the sazon rubbed into it generously. But, the Goya seasoned salt should be sprinkled sparingly. Use it just as you would any other seasoned salt such as Season All.

I have a mac & broccoli recipe, but it has cheese in it. Cheese = my weakness. LOL! Yours sounds good and much healthier if I use the whole grain pasta.

Denise, isn't this stuff great? Try it on fish if you like to grill or broil it. It makes an amazing fish with little effort.
