Max, my cat, is driving me crazy.  He was so cute as a kitten, but growing up and old has taken a toll on him.  He is BAAAAAAD.

Maria, what kind of dog is Misty? I had a dg that looked just like her but we never knew what breed if any she was. She was too well groomed and trained to be just a mutt (at least I always thought that. She was proffesionally cared for and most people who can afford that do not getr mutts, lol)

Dizzy..Denise,
I'm sorry Max is driving you crazy.
All are cute as kitten's, but your right as they get
older it does take a toll on them (Poor sweetie).
He is BAAAAAAD..How bad is he?
What does he do? Accidents on the floor? Destroying
things in your home? Meowing constantly? Health problems?
True: "You can't tell a book by it's cover".

Bubu, when I got Misty in 1999, she had been abused and lost. My ex-husband and I got her at a Home Depot here in California where they had pet adoptions. We took her to the vet and he told us she had some spaniel and colly in her. She is a spoiled brat and thinks she owns the house. My beloved Reggie will be 14 in January 2009 if he is still with me. The vet says Reggie has a lot of medical issues and that I might have to put him to sleep sometime in the near future. I dread that day because I have had Reggie since he was 8 weeks old. We got Misty when she was around 1 and now she is 10. Luckly for me, Misty has been a very healthy mutt. Except for her shots, I have never taken her to the vets for anything serious.

Maria

Misty is just adorable. I guess Mandy was a mix too but she looked like she could have been a breed.
Wow Reggie is hanging in there. I am glad, I know how worried you were about him.  It is tough when pets get old and ill. They are such a big part of your life and then to lose them is just hard.

Dizzy, Denise,
Thanks for your reply.
I'm sorry to hear that. It's hard cleaning up on any older animal.
Also destroying of things in your home can drive you nuts.
Mine broke treasured vases. She also would get ontop of my kitchen cabinets and walk amongst my precious glasses. I had to remove all of them and put them under the sink where she can't reach them.
At one point certain items on end tables..I had to glue the bottom of them to the tables so she wouldn't knock them over.
It does work, she doesn't knock them over.
Usually when I tell her to stop it, or get down..she listens. But not always.
