In an interview, James Scott (aka EJ) said he inserted a bit of his "Britishness" into the role as EJ by making Sami a british drink called a Shandy, which is half lemonade and half beer. James Scott prefers Largo, nothing too dark. (I've tried it, its really good!) |

Hi, not to disagree, but the English call any Lemon-lime soda "Lemonade". For example, 7up or Sprite would be called a "lemonade". So a Shandy is actually 3/4 draft beer and 1/4 7up. It tastes like a Zima, does anyone remember those. They were advertised as a malt beverage and basically it was sweetened and citrus flavored beer....a Shandy. Shandy's are actually pretty good...if you hate the taste of beer, as I do, you'll find if it's mixed with the 7up it has a rather refreshing, pleasant taste. I was a bartender in a Radisson Hotel in Plymouth, MA for 17 years and had ALOT of tourists from England and made MANY a Shandy. Debbie |
