If you are looking for a certain recipe, post your request in this thread. Maybe someone will be able to help.

Does anyone have a green bean casserole recipe?  My husband and I are kinda picky about creamy things.  We don't like sour cream, cream cheese, cream of mushroom soup, ricotta cheese, cottage cheese....basically white and creamy!  We had the greenbean casserole at a restaurant in Navarre Beach, FL that was excellent.  It wasn't real creamy.  It tasted like it had onions and cheese.  I attempted to make a greenbean casserole with cream of onion soup, velvetta cheese, and those crunchy cheese flavor French's onions.  Perhaps if I had the correct proportions, it would have been better.  When I first attempted it, it was too dry, then after working on it it became mostly cheese. It wasn't very good, but I'm not good at making things without a recipe or instructions.  Any words of wisdom would be appreciated!

I have just recently discovered how tasty the tilapia fish is!!! But I can't think of anything to do with it other than rub it with garlic or but some bottled marinade on it. Any suggestions for that?

Blayne, I have never done anything with that type of fish, but if you go to www.recipezaar.com you will find tons of recipes for that fish. If you use one, don't forget to rate and review the recipe. They love feedback over there.

If this is deleted, no offense taken...I'm not trying to recruit new members BUT if you want to just check out, you don't have to join, this recipe board I try to update it very often with food recipes...along with other things like make up and so on...but if you're looking for something I think we have about 600+ food recipes on the site. I'm trying to reorganize it now into easier categories but maybe you might see what you're looking for.

Just a thought... :)

That is the link to this:

7 Layer Salad
1 (16 ounce) package salad
1 cup thinly sliced celery
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1 (12 ounce) package Bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces, cooked
1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas, thawed
1 1/2 cups Real Mayonnaise
3/4 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Place greens in large glass bowl. Layer celery, green pepper,
onions, bacon and peas over greens. Spread mayo evenly
over peas, covering the top completely and sealing to
edge of bowl. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and refrigerate
2 to 12 hours to blend flavors.

Is that what you wanted?

This is what i found for you :
  • 6 cups chopped lettuce
  • salt and pepper
  • 6 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
  • 2 cups frozen peas, thawed
  • 8 to 16 ounces bacon, crisp-cooked, drained, and crumbled
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onion with tops
  • paprika

PREPARATION:

Place 3 cups of the lettuce in bottom of large bowl; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Layer egg slices over lettuce in bowl and sprinkle with more salt and pepper. Continue to layer vegetables in this order: peas, remaining lettuce, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheese, along with light sprinklings of salt and pepper. Combine mayonnaise and sugar; spread over top, spreading to edge of bowl to cover entire salad. Cover and chill 24 hours or overnight. Garnish with green onion and a little paprika. Toss before serving.
This salad serves 12 to 15.

Blayne I didn't know if you were still looking for recipes with Tilapia but I found this one in one of my old Simple and Delicious.

Pind Nut-Crusted Tilapia

1/2 cup pine nuts, ground
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon dill weed
1/4 teasponn lemon-pepper seasoning
1 egg
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1teaspoon honey
4 tilapia fillets (6oz. each)
2 tablespoons butter
Additional honey, optional

In a shallow bowl, combine the pine nuts, flour, dill and lemon-pepper. In another bowl, combine the egg, lemon juice and honey. Dip fillets in egg mixture, then coat in nut mixture.
In a large nonstick skillet, cook fillets in butter over medium heat for 4-5 min on each side or until fish flakes easily with a fork, Drizzle with additional honey if desired.

I did not have pine nuts so I used pecans and just loved it. It also says you can use walnuts or hazelnuts.  Enjoy!
