I'm finding this very hard to believe but.... NICK! **UPDATE**
(Week of November 10th)
Nick threw a creepy "private" birthday party for Melanie, in which he gave her a "friendship" ring, and he had a flashback that revealed he was Trent's killer. Things got weirder: Nick tried to talk Melanie into leaving Salem with him, but she wanted to stay put. Then, in Maggie's house, Melanie discovered the stationery on which the threatening note was written. She confronted Nick and he admitted to writing the note and making the phone calls, but said he did it to protect Melanie. The follow-up - Nick told Melanie she had killed Trent – he saw her do it. He convinced her it was the truth. But Bo and Hope got the real story from the cemetery's caretaker. He ID'ed Nick as the killer to shocked Bo and Hope. |

This has to be a bad rumour and not an actual spoiler. This is so far off from what Nick is truly like!!! Either that or TPTB are writing him off the show and had to find some lame way to do that. If that is the case then why not just have him fired from his job as a professor for dating a 17 year old and let him get a job in another city? |

The full story at Zetaboards was posted at another site - I can't reprint it here - but there is something that could explain things in the full article. Nick is on painkillers following his being shot. He ran out, and his doctor gave him a prescription for something else, and apparently the drugs are messing with his mind. Either he shot Trent under their influence, OR, the "flashbacks" he is having are just hallucinations. We will have to wait and see which it is . . . |

I read that Nick turns out to be Trent's killer. Has anyone else heard that? |
