...I didn't think you would mind lol! It's a scorcher out there today, well out here anyway. It's already 88F in the shade only about 10am, as you said Dee it may be another long hot summer but that's okay - I'd rather have that than a long cold winter :-) Jenny we need some pictures of that garden of yours, I can only imagine how beautiful it must be!! I hope the 3 of you are enjoying this weekend so far.

One note that I should have mentioned earlier - - I'm flying to Minneapolis tomorrow afternoon, coming back on Wed. night (it's for work). So I will try to log in here from afar since we'll have a laptop, but if I don't get here I will be thinking about you 3 and will 'see' you when I get back. lots of love and hugs!! ~sharon~

Good evening ladies! Sharon, first off to you Sweetie, in my humble opinion I'd say not to transplant your babies right now! I wouldn't do it until they're over their blooming cycle, OK? You could knock them out of their beautiful blooming display and you wouldn't want to do that!! Would you? Of course as I said, that's just my opinion...If you were to ask someone else they might say different...
Carol, as Sharon told you and I agree, it's not crazy to have a fear of any kind, but especially of loud noises! Apparently you were scared by loud noises when you were younger, huh?  I agree, I don't think it's crazy at all, in fact, I think it's understandable...Besides lady, don't think you could do hardly anything to make us think you were crazy, we were all that way to begin with I thought! lmao Oh yeah, my Pop used to tell me to never take anything seriously that was poked at me in fun...Good advice huh??
Hi Jenny, glad to see you're posting today! I kind of thought like Carol that you were puttering about in your garden if the weather was permitting it...I know how much you love to be outside, my Mama is like that! Although unlike her, you do your housework first, then work outside...My Mama used to work outside first, then if she had any time left, she might clean house a little, but the outside and her flowers were most important to her...I on the other hand don't like bugs that much, and do love to have a clean house, althought you couldn't tell it by looking at it right now! I do love my flowers though, that's why I chose to have my houseplants...I don't have to worry about bugs that way, it's much safer! lmao I love you all lots and I'm sending you each some big old hugs, but don't let me smother you in this hot weather! OK? LOL Nite nite for now, Dee...

Good morning ladies! Hum, I wonder what has happened to the color in our emoticons here?? I've noticed it in other places to, the colors look like they're fading out on them. It could just be my computer I guess, duh, that just dawned on me, but I was wondering and thought I'd ask you all! If anybody will tell me, one of you will won't you? I know, I know, curiosity killed the cat didn't it?? LOL But this inquiring mind wants to know, it's like the pepsodent commercial, you wonder where the yellow went when you brush your teeth with pepsodent!!!! LOL Only I'm not brushing, just missing the colors here!!
Jenny Darlin', I hope you enjoyed your lunch and the rest of your day, it sounds like you did anyway! Yep, what you read is correct, the african violets do like smaller pots, it seems they do better when root bound...In fact, they'll bloom sooner if they are root bound...My favorite little violet that I started from a leaf, I've kept it in a very small pot, hoping to get it to bloom sooner! Keep your fingers crossed for me, won't you?? I'll keep you posted on it's progress, OK? Then when it does finally bloom, I'll post a picture or send it to you one, OK? This is the one that I fell in love with the leaf of the plant, I really don't care if it blooms or not, lmao! I'm a funny one, huh??
Carol, it really isn't so unusual to hate bugs is it? They're awful little creatures, don't think they were made for people to like, do you? YUCK, can't think of anything they are good for, can you? OK, I've done it again, Miss Windy City at the keyboard! Sorry, I just get so carried away! LOL I love you all lots and send you my big hugs once more, catch them if you can! LOL Nite nite for now, Dee...

Hi ladies! Hope everyone had a good one today, I'm looking forward to leaving work around noon then being off Friday for the holiday weekend... not doing anything special but will be nice to do what I want, even if it's nothing lol! Any of you have plans for the holiday (Jenny even though it's silly to think of, do our friends across the pond have any bad feelings for our "independence day" celebration? Dumb question I know but I always wondered it! lol, after all these years :))
Nowadays I wonder if most Americans remember what we're setting off fireworks for... hmm...

I'm going to take your advice, the violets are looking great right now so I should just leave them be.... my instinct was to give them room to spread out lol. But you're right some plants love to be crowded, just a matter of knowing which ones... thanks for the advice! Dee what did you do with the leaf by itself, just stick it into water and it starts another plant just like that?? wow! :) I can see how they are addicting!

Carol I'm with you about spiders, I know they're on this earth for a purpose but it sure isn't for making friends with me. Especially the little jumping ones. :-X ick! Well Dee I think I may have you beat in the windy department lol! I'm a hurricane sometimes :-P terrible joke, I know. be back soon and love you all lots ~~Sharon~~

Good morning now it is ladies, and here I am again, lmao!  Well CCC, that's good to know, it would be ashame to be a dead cat wouldn't it??? LOL
Sharon, kind of that's the idea with the leaves, LOL...You can cut off one leaf from an african violet, and from my experiences of doing this, I've discovered that distilled or sterile water is the best to root a leaf in, oK? Or actually, I don't know if you've ever heard of a thing called rootone, it's a hormone for plants, but you can dip the stem of the leaf in rootone and put it directly into the dirt! I think it's better to start it out by rooting it first though, it seems to get a better start that way! OK? And yes Ma'am, it does really work, OK? Besides being a cheap way to get started in african violets, by getting a leaf from a friend that has them, or if you have one dying, you can just take a leaf from it and start yourself a new plant...It takes time, but for me it's gratifying to start one out like that myself...Yep it sure enough is! LOL
Jenny Darlin', hope you're out puttering around in your garden again and there isn't something wrong with our Sweet Jenny! I love you girls lots and lots, and I'm sending you each some big old hugs again...Nite nite for now, Dee...

Good morning ladies and "Happy 4th of July"!!! I hope you all have a good day today! Well, you've just got to hate it when this happens, I had a large post all finished and ready to post, when my computer locked up, it's taken me about 20 minutes to get it straightened out, but here I am back again...I hate losing a big post like that though, and I even had the save and copy thing done, but had to restart so that must have made me lose everything, huh? Oh well, I'm a stubborn soul and wanted to wish you all a happy 4th before I got off tonight...LOL
Jenny, I'm not going to fuss at you, would I do that? (she says innocently!!!) Not much I wouldn't! But you are the one that knows your limitations and it isn't really fussing, we just want you to take care of yourself for us, because we love you so much! That isn't fussing is it love? I'm glad you got that ugly job done though and know you are too! I'm just glad you had some help to do it!
Carol, I can't blame your kids for not flying, it's gotten ridiculous to do that according to the folks on the news, it's actually cheaper to drive...I do hope they'll enjoy their vacation, regardless of how they get there! Fishing in Vermont huh? Now that would be my cup of tea, or used to would have been anyway, when I was younger...Garry and I used to go camping, I loved it so much...I could sit on the bank and fish while he was napping in the camper, LOL, yep, quite lovely...You don't like to fish Carol? It's really quite relaxing, at least ntil you get your line all tangled up somehow! LOL OK, I'm finished rambling...Again, you all have a happy 4th of July, OK? I'm thinking about all 3 of you, enjoy your day please!!! Love you lots and sending you each a huge hug! Nite nite for now, Dee...

Hi ladies, and happy fourth. :) I can't do any of the pretty pictures of fireworks but you get my drift lol... Nope Carol nothing much planned for this weekend for me... chris needs to pick up his suit but other than that we're taking advantage of the time off and having nothing to do :) Glad all is well at Crystal's, she's lucky to have you to help her out with the pets! I know how much that means because it's one less thing for them to worry about, right?

Yes Jenny we hope you're doing okay and having a good day in the garden or out and about. Hope you can fit some resting in between! Oh and Dee sorry about your lost post, I've had it happen a couple times too and it's SO frustrating! I usually remember the old 'cut and paste' but not every time.... grr, and those are prolly the times i will have a problem :) but at least your second one went up. speaking of which, anyone up for starting a new one???!! :) love you all lots and have a great night! love, sharon

Nite nite for now, I'll be back tomorrow night hopefully...Hope you're OK Jenny, I love you bunches...Somebody can start a new thread, I'm not opposed, I would have, but need to run right now...I'll do it tomorrow night if it isn't done already!
