hi ladies, i'm in here for a quick 'hello' as we just found out we're under a tornado watch here, eek! we really don't ever see weather like that even when they have 'watches' but either way we expect a heck of a storm in a little bit. so the computer goes off momentarily :( I hope you both are doing well today. Dee I know just what you mean about all kids being different, heck even the rest of us are like that! it makes sense though, I just hope the little guy is feeling better and you too of course! :) Also good luck with peoplepc, I've never had them before but i think they are one of the better ones, right? we have the internet through the cable and it's done okay by us so far.... just that when they have a problem we lose all 3 - cable, phone, internet! blah!
Jenny I hope you're enjoying your saturday, i've been cooking up a storm today and i was thinking about you and the new oven. I made homemade chicken soup, then gutted a pumpkin and roasted the seeds, then made a butterscotch pudding. See this is what happens when you wait 2 weeks to shop for food LOL! Now I don't know what to do with it all, so here I am. :-D

Morning Ladies! Sharon Sweetheart, I hope silence in this case is good news, since you haven't gotten back on and I haven't seen any news, I'massuming that you all are OK! Hope the tornado passed over your area and there was no damage done from winds or anything...We'll be waiting to see a post from you as soon as you are able to do so!!!
I have thought about trying that Hughes net, but I've been told it's quite expensive, and when you're on a fixed income, you do the best you can do! Right? Sometimes I think the fast service would be worth it, but then when I think of things I might havbe to give up to get it, it isn't! So, I'm torn between two lovers and feeling like a fool! LOL Gotcha! Really, I do have some things I don't want to give up, like being able to buy my "Little Nolan" a toy or some cheap thing I see I want to get him, or even having a cell phone just in case, just to be able to have a little speed when I get online! If I did a lot of important things on here, like if it was a part of a job or something, I would consider it, but I use my connection for pure pleasure, and can't see paying $50.00 or more a month for service, not when I get it pretty good for $14.95...LOL That leaves me quite a bit for love toys etc, see? The way the economy is going, it may come down to it being a meal on the table instead of love toys etc, but so far it isn't that bad yet! I can live with a slow connection for those reasons! LOL Besides, I keep thinking it will all go down in the near future, it's getting to be pretty common stuff now for anyone to be on the internet, it has to get cheaper sooner or later, don't you think???
I'm so proud of you to read that you are cooking up a storm, cooking and baking are my first love, although I'm failing in the cooking department some right now, I don't do near like some of the good and different things I used to do! I used to cook Italian, Mexican, Chinese, just anything different, but don't have the enrgy to do that anymore, now it's mostly just baking, sweet stuff like cookies, cakes and breads, yum! Now, those are my specialties, lmao! I don't hear many complaints though, not out of my family anyway!! Jenny DArlin', I do hope you're all right as well, nothing from you today, but I expect you've been invaded by your wonderful family, haven't you? If so, you are in heaven no doubt!!! hi ladies! yep Dee it passed right by us as I kind of expected, but you just never know with the weather lately, right? I don't remember ever experiencing a tornato (thankfully) yet at least once or twice a year we get a warning of some kind. We definitely had a nice storm with heavy winds and rain, but that I can live with as long as our stuff in the yard is tied down. I completely understand about the cable internet - yes ours is a promotion through the local company, you pay $29.99 each for phone, cable, internet. It's not a bad deal while it lasts but I'm not sure what we'll do once the promo is up. sigh, don't want to think about that yet lol!
Jenny we still haven't seen you, I hope all is okay with you. Though I'm suspecting your computer is giving you even more trouble now and that's why you haven't gotten here. Computers can be a real pain, especially if it's a virus, but as long as you're alright that's the important thing, the computer will get fixed I have confidence! :)
You two have a good rest of the weekend. I have been feeling under the weather since this morning and am sipping on tea and chicken soup. I wish this season would hurry up and get over with already lol! It seems everyone is sick or just not feeling right, I think it has a lot to do with the weather and how it changes constantly.... ok i'm going back to the couch. love you both and sending lots of hugs! love, sharon |

Hi Sharon and Jenny if you get by today! Sharon, you may be right Sweetheart and it could be Jen's computer is acting up, or it might just be that her family is there for the weekend, or maybe even Ian is back! He has been on holiday all of this past week, and I'm not exactly sure when he was coming back home, but she could be with him...We'll just hope it's one of the two and that she's doing just wonderful! Got my fingers crossed anyway, don't know what I'd do without my Sweet Jenny, she's a wonderful human being, but then you know that, don't know why I'm telling you anyuway, except it's how I feel.
I forgot to tell you all yesterday that my SIL passed away at 3:05 PM on Sat. the 15th of Nov. It's sad, but at the same time, bless her heart, she had suffered long enough and it was her time...Her funeral arrangements are already made, her husband and only daughter made them today, she'll be put to rest on Tuesday at 11:00 AM...Her hubby is my hubby's brother, he only has the one brother...OK, enough of the bad news, right?

good evening Lady's i have had a busy weekend and you was right dee sweetheart on two counts my putter had to go away for a day or two to see the doc lol but after a Little help if much better now and ian is back and he loved his hols .he thinks it will be the last time he gets to the US as it's such a lot of travailing and he is 72 now lol not that you would guess he is alway on the go .he is a lot fitter than me .dee i was sorry to here about yours and Garry's loss but as you say she is not in any pain now not that helps . ok i have been and had a look round and if looks ok .like you dee i am not sure how you post to get it in the in box but in time you never know .don't worry dee and we don't mind if you have to be the administer we know we are in good hands .it's just going to take time but i do like it but what ever you decide is good for me . when sharon gets there she might be able to help us .ok you two Lady's have a wonderful night .i am going to have a play now love and hugs . . |

Good morning ladies! Jenny Darlin', I knew you would be here when you could, so glad your box is fixed once again...Funny that it went out rioght now isn't it Sweetie, since we had just been talking about me having to send mine to a doctor to get it fixed, huh? These machines are strange birds aren't they??? I'll never get them figured out, will you all???
I got through my first round at the funeral home this evening, will go back tomorrow from about 9:30 AM until! It'll be sometime around noon I expect, or maybe even later before we get through at the cemetary after the funeral...It's going to be done by two Baptist Preachers, lmao, you know what they say about Baptist Preachers too, don't you all? Mind you, no offense at any pastors, they're good people, most of them anyway, it's just that they say Baptists are long winded preachers is all...We'll see! I'll let you know whgat I decide afterwards, OK? LOL It's going to be so sad, although lobng overdo!!! Kenneth, my BIL is going to be so relieved after it's all said and done...I know it'll take him some time to adjust, but he'll be fine, sooner or later...I know he is worn out after all of the running back and forth he has done, he's been very faithful to her all these years been sick, I'll say that for him...OK, enough said!

Good evening ladies! Dee I'm so sorry for you and Garry, of course I agree with what you both have already said, sometimes it is just a comfort for a loved one not to be in any pain though it's still so hard. My love and prayers to both of you and his family.
Jenny I am glad your puter is back on the mend and you are too! Also glad that Ian had a great time in the U.S. on holiday... Florida is great, but most of the rest of us are having frigid cold weather right now, no fun for a vacation lol.
I don't know Dee if you got my invite yet but I created a test board at "Aimoo" to see how to the thing works. I was able to start up a thread but you have to be the owner of the board (I think) to do that... SO you'll have to tell me if you see anything on DonzplaceIII that says "New Topic" when you sign in... that's what you click on to start a thread.
I have no idea how to make us all managers, but once you come in to the test board I'll see how to do it (right now I'm the only member lol!). Jenny I will invite you too, I just found your nickname that's why I couldn't do it earlier. Wish us luck, we're almost there.

Thank you for your love and prayers Sharon, you're right, although she is out of pain now, it was still hard for her hubby to let her go, hencewe hurt deeply for him...He has been such a devoted husband to her, ever since they have been married of course, but even through the worst of her illness, the past three years, he has stuck with her. Visited her faithfully, evben when it wasn't easy for him, you all just couldn't know what he's been through with her, it's not been easy on him I know! But he made it, and now, hopefully, in time, he can do some recooperating of his own, it's muchg deserved too! It was a nice funeral service, even a beautiful day for it, except for being so cold...Thanks again to you both, it's appreciated!!!
Sharon Sweetie, I didn't get an invitation from you! I'm sorry...Do you remember where you sent it too? Was it my peoplepc address, or maybe my hotmail or myway address??? LOL That's what I get for having so many huh??? Hard to keep up with them to say the least!!! Hi ladies, I was just over quickly to the "test" board at Aimoo and I was very happy to see Jenny there :) Actually I like that board better than this one, I can use the little smiling icons LOL! Anyway it works, we just need to change the name back to "Donzplace" which hasn't worked yet. If you all agree, we'll do that then transfer over the whole board.
Dee I sent it throught Aimoo, which I thought went to your regular email (peoplepc) but now I'm thinking it only goes to your Inbox at Aimoo. So if you haven't gone, take a look at your profile and check the Inbox. You should get the invite there!
Anyway besides the board, I hope you both are doing well and keeping warm in this early winter weather... Jenny same with us we had a bright sunny day but a COLD (i.e 25 F) one. It was nice to see sunshine for once but still had to bundle up. This weather is not for me! Mornin' Ladies. I don't have a lot of time as usual it seems. I've got to get tobed,as I didn't sleep much last night and have to get up early in the AM to keep our 'Little Man" and fix breakfast for the crew! Yippee! hi girls! i'm hanging around this morning waiting to go to the dentist so i had a few minutes to check in. Dee I went to the new board (III) and still couldn't find a way to put up a "new topic", I think you might have to do that being the owner..... I don't mind keeing the "III" at all, just taht it says that the name already exists and won't let us re-use it if we start over. Hmmm..... we'll figure it out. Let me know if you mind starting it over again as just "Donzplace"!
Oh and we'd have to move everything beforehand, I'd imagine once MSN closes everything will disappear. So I'd say once we do move it, we delete this one on our own, just making sure everything got moved okay. Just my 2 cents worth, please let me know what you both think. Mornin' Sharon! You're right Sweetie, I guess we should have talked this thing out more before anything was done, right? Right! I thought we had, but apparently, it wasn't as ready, set, go as I made it, LOL. I'm serious here, we should have talked more I reckon! I think I'll just go ahead and delete everything I've done, and we'll start over, let me know what you think about that! Then someone else will have to start it over again, and I'll just rejoin in another name...But starting out as a Donzplace, period, is probably the right thing to do, oyu're right about that, although, I don't know about you all, but I hope to heck we don't get uprooted again, I don't like being shuffled about like a deck of cards like MSN did to us, that was rude, LOL...Just out of the blue, huh? I wish you could see th e picture Nolan drew of me, then one of his Pa too, they're master pieces, no doubt about that! They are excellant, look just like the both of us, yeah right! LOL Too cute, I dated each of them, and I'm gonna keep them to show him later on...He'd look up at me with those sweet blue eyes, and go back to his scribbling, and it was all I could do to keep from being tickled! good evening you two .dee i hope you are alright with all you are having to cope with there you have got your hands full please look after yourself we don't want you sick as well .how is garry and nolan today i hate it when our family is sick and i do feel like you all are my family .i am sure we will get the new place right so dee don't worry about it .i think you did a good job and like sharon i can't find a place to post on the old one .i have sent you a invitation to Sharon's place i hope you can get in .it seems good at posting there . i am happy to go along with what you two decide .i am to scared to try anything lol scary cat thats me .i got a email from carol asking if she could come back ? what do you two think should we keep the new one just for the three of us or what .dee sweetheart i did you get some sleep last night you rely need some so much .
