Taz's Bio

DOB Sept1, 2004 and he came home Nov. 14, 2004

We had lost our very special Gizmo on 15OCT04 and on 14NOV04 we happened to walk into one of our usual petshops and we always look at the ferret cage, well, inside was a baby that looked just like Gizzy did as a kit, Dar was almost in tears turning to me saying "this is what I want for Christmas". The problem was, Taz was about 8 inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail, he was the "runt of the litter", they thought he was sick and had him on ant-biotics..he was not for sale...however, they knew us and the gal talked to the manager to explain that he was better off with us than in the store, so, he came home with us that day. He quickly grew and is now about 22 inches with a 7 inch thick and lucious tail. He had a problem at first with our Patches, who took the position of Alpha male after Gizzy departed, Patches did not like him and for the first couple of months they could not be out together, but finally Patches accepted him. With the departure of Patches there is no Alpha, since the other males are all too laid back to want it, especially Taz. He will lay on your arm limp with total trust, with one of the most easy going attitudes I have ever seen in a fert. It took about 8 months before we got our first kisses from him, but now he gives them on the cheek, when he is in the mood.
