Scooter

Scooter was born in July of 2002,
when we brought him home he was 8 weeks old, we had gotten him as a playmate
for treasure who was almost a full pound in weight twice the size of scooter,
she was so much larger than scooter that we thought she was going to hurt
or kill him because of how rough they played.
So we kept them separated at first till scooter gained some weight.
At this time scooter didn't get his name till after we had him for several days,
he would take things , any things he could get ahold of like socks etc.
And he would scoot them under himself going backwards so we named him scooter.
He grew at an astounding rate and was soon three times the size of treasure.
They had bonded quite well. Soon scooter joined treasure as a therapy ferret
at the nursing homes in our area.
He was raised in Texas out in the country and enjoyed his daily
walks down to the creek to catch fish and crawfish his favorite .
He managed to escape a couple times and was gone for a couple days at a time.
He also enjoyed being an ambassador for the numerous pet fest's
and ferret frolics, and animal control pet awareness days back in Texas.
He has helped many homeless ferrets at the shelters find a home.
He now lives here in Arizona, still living with his sister treasure.
Scooter even got to meet Dee's fur babies once at the ferret frolic
we had here in phoenix a couple years back.
Scooter is the resident trouble maker.
Gets along with other ferrets and people.
