It is a small world sometimes and that goes for the gun world. Many times I have run into gun buddies at gun shows or the NRA meetings. High School friends have shown up at the SHOT Show and even at hunting camps a few guys from the Rifle Club has dropped in without knowing that I was there.

Most of the readers of gun sites have heard the name of Sarge and know that he is into guns. That is saying it mildly. Since Sarge joined the Army and found out that they gave him free guns to shoot and lots of ammo he has been engrossed with guns. I believe, lives breaths and sleeps with guns is the proper way of putting it.

So here Sarge is up in Alaska and do you think he would run into someone that is familiar? This is what happened.

Sarge is employed by NANACOLT (nice name) who has the contract to design upgrades to the Alaskan pipeline. Sarge being a AUTOCAD designer specializing in piping and gas and oil in particular.

A few weeks back a new guy moved into the empty cubical next to Sarge and seem a nice enough guy. Finally there was a break in the work load and Sarge and John had a chance to talk.

John says “Do you do a lot of hunting??/P>

Sarge replies?I hunt when ever I can get the time off but I do more shooting than hunting.?/P>

“Ahh?John answers, “I bet you know someone I know. Bill Jordon?he says.

“You mean THE Bill Jordon, No Second Place Winner? Bill Jordon.?asks Sarge.

“Yupp that Bill Jordon.?he replies.

“Sure I know him!?Sarge ?I even met him three times?/P>

“How do you happen to know him??asks Sarge

?Heh heh I have slept in his house and had dinner with him many times.?replies John.

To Sarges astonished look John grins and says “He is my Uncle.?/P>

And so Sarge makes a new friend and what tales he has to tell. Sarge will be posting those stories in the next few weeks and some of his own. When you are a gun person you meet the nicest people and in the darnedest places.
