From: armouredtrooper Hi folks,  I picked up a Canadian Army Saddle, Universal, MK1 from a store in Sherwood Park Last month.  My step daughter needed new dressage boots for her lessons and while she was trying boots on, I decided to stroll through the Saddle section of this store and I came across this saddle marked "trooper Saddle". It is in fact, a "Saddle, Universal as I mentioned.  I used to belong to the Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians) Back in the mid 70's and did a tour with their ceremonial mounted troop. This ssaddle is exactly like the one I used in the troop. I picked it up cheap ($135.00). For Christmas, I took my scoped Winchester 30-30 to this store where the leather master took measurements and made a saddle scabbard for my rifle. An early Christmas present from My better half,Anita. Here's a couple pics of my saddle set up with the scabbard and rifle. I can't wait to try this out on my horse,"Buster".    Trooper
