You are mistaken, In Minnesota you can own a registered Machinegun as long as its pre 1980 something. I have a couple freinds with collections and I've gone out shooting with them, thats how I know. Bills gun shop in Robonsdale has machineguns you can rent to shoot at thier range, you may want to contact them for details. I had a Thompson M1A1 about 20yrs ago so I'm a little rusty on the hoops you have to jump through to own something you have a right to own anyway. Government has no legal right nor Constitutional power to ban you from owning a machinegun. I know I sure didn't give it to them.
