Wicked, I can relate to that fall down part. I have fallen about a dozen times since my operation. It is not to bad inside the house as we have a nice soft carpet. But outside and especially on the concrete it is hell. I was taught in Police Academy how to fall so you would not be hurt and that helps me some. I have found that if I am going down, I just toss my crutches away and try to land on my side instead of my knees or hands.  I have lots of bruises now they are slow in healing. I guess all my blood is going to my foot to heal it there. But like you, I just pick myself up and keep trying.  That is the way I was raised.
