The REAL Next Big Thing::

The scene opened up outside of the arena, that this weeks WGEF SmackDown! was taking place from. David Steel was seen sitting outside of the arena seemly deep in thought, thinking over the way that his career had gone, over the past few months. He then rached down into his jeans pocket, and he pulled out a packet of cigarettes, he then opened it up, and took out a cigarette, and placed it into his mouth, taking a lighter out from his pocket, he lit the cigarette, and took a puff out it, then removed it from his mouth, as he blow out the smoke. It was very rare that David smoked now days, he had started back when he was 16, but gave it up when he became a wrestler, and now only really would smoke a cigarette when he was stressed out about something. David sighed a little as he looked up at the night sky, as he thought over his upcoming match on SmackDown! DAVID STEEL'S THOUGHTS: God how, I have let myself go lately. My career has almost been like a rollercoster ride so far. First I was at the bottom, then I shot up to the top, as I became the WGEF Undisputed Champion. But just like all rollercosters, once you get to the top, I have gone shooting right back down to the bottom again. And now it has come to this, on SmackDown! I will be taking on Christian Cage in a Career Threatning Match. Not that I can really blame anyone for putting me into this, seeing as I have failed to show up for a few matches here on SmackDown!. But sitll I was told that I would be gone from the company if I failed to show up for a match again. Have I am been put into a spot like Ric Flair was in the WWE, where I now need to win, in order to stay in the WGEF? I really wish someone would tell me just so I knew just what it was that I was going into here. Now only I have got thsi on my mind, I have the fact that my wife, Kat Sanders is tearing herslef up over the fact that she is now pregant, and the effect, that is is going to have on her carrer. I knew when we got togther that she never really wanted to have kids, so it was never really something the two of us thought or talked about. I had already gone thought this once before, seeing as I have a daughter with my ex-wife Jess Batista, so I will be there for Kat, and will stand by her, now matter what she deciedes to do here. Anyway I need to try and keep my mind on my SmackDown! match, seeing as I am facing a former two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion in Christian Cage. I have always had a repesct for Christain, and turely belivle him to be one of the most under-rated superstars in history. I sitll can not belivle that he never got a World Title run, while he was apart of the WWE. Anyway I just need to keep my mind foucsed on this match, and not let it slip. It's time to get my carrer back on track. I may of let myself slide back down the ladder, since loseing the Undisputed Championship, but now it's time to try and get back up the ladder again. This match is going to be step one. I'm not yet ready for my career to come to an end. I also need to try and keep at least one eye outside of the ring, on Chris Michaels, as I would not really put it past him, to get involed in this match, to try and help Christian, not that Christian ever really needs help in order to win a match, just I can not put it past Chris. Anyway David, keep your mind on this match, and you will be okay, just go out there and give it everything that you have, just like you usely do. -David sighs as he takes another puff of his cigarette- Man I am really tottaly stressed out over this, It's been ages since I last smoked, and it's something I only ever do now when I am reallyed stressed out about something, and maybe once in a while, when on a night out, but that is diffenet really. Anyway David stay foucsed damn it, your in a match that could very well threaten your career here in the WGEF, for crying out loud, this is one time, where you can not afford to loss sight of the match at hand, or even take your mind off the game. Christian Cage can be one dangerous son of a bitch when he wants to be. SmackDown! is my big chance, to prove just why I am a former Three-time World Heavyweight Champion, and most of all, that my reign as the WGEF Undisputed Champion was no fluke. Sure people like Michael Harris want to see me fail and fall flat on my ass, in fact Harris, is the only reason I really lost the Undisputed Title in the first place, but it is things like that, that just make me want to try even harder to prove my worth.

But you and I both know, that the only real time, that you have a cigarette is when you stressed out about something. Come on David, we're buds, and friends look out for each other. So tell me, what's the matter. David sighs, as he takes one last puff of the cigarette, then tosses it, down to the ground, as he blows out the smoke. He then looks at Randy, then back up at the sky again, as he starts to speak. DAVID STEEL: It's just lately, it would seem that my career, has gone back to where it was this time last year. To a point where, really I'm no more then just some mid-card jobber, who nobody has really heard about, or could even really care about for that matter. I mean a few months ago I was on top of the world. I was the WGEF Undisputed Champion. And now I'm not even in line to get a chance to become the number one contnder for the United States Championship. RANDY ORTON: This would not have anything to do with your, Career Threating Match on SmackDown! with Christian Cage by any chance would it? DAVID STEEL: Maybe. Maybe not. RANDY ORTON: David, I'm trying to help you here. I can't help, if you don't tell me what the problme is. DAVID STEEL: Oh, it's just a whole bunch of things really. Man I have not been this stressed out since, my divorce from Jess Batista, and when she failed for sole cousdoy of our daughter Makayla. I mean my wife Kat is tearing herslef up, about the fact that she is pregant. Plus I have this match on SmackDown! where basicly my career, is hanging my my showing up for it. RANDY ORTON: Look David, you have it in you to be a top superstar here. You proved that when you became the Undisputed Champion. Sure your career may of gone back downhill, since you lost it. But if you did it once, you can do it again. Think about it, if you just work at it, before long I am sure that you will once again be one of the top dogs here in the WGEF, and that you will be in line for, and even holding the WGEF Championship. DAVID STEEL: You know something Randy? Your right. I need to work at it, and this is just what I am going to do. On SmackDown! I am going to face Christian Cage in the middle of that ring, and I am going to make sure, that he and I put on a main event match, that nobody will soon forget. It does not matter if Christian is going to have Chris Michaels in his corner or not, it will not stop me from beating Christian Cage in the middle of the ring... 1..2..3. and keep my WGEF career alive. I mean the fact that he thinks that I would need the rest of Steel-K-O's help in order to win is funny. I mean after all I became the Undisputed Champion, before Steel-K-O was even formed. So I am able to get the job done by myslef, and I am going to beat Christian on my own, without anyone's help what so ever.-David then stands up, as a small smile comes onto his face- You see, I have not even really reached the prime of my career yet, but it is cases like this, where it is make or break that can bring out the best within me. And Cage is going to find that out first hand on SmackDown this Friday Night. Christian should just thank his lucky stars what his career is not on the line as well, because otherwise it would be the last time that anyone ever sees 'The Instant Classic' Christian Cage in a WGEF ring. Summer Fox may see this as making me look down the barrell of a gun. But whether the gun is loaded or not, is a whole diffenet matter. David just smirks as he then makes his way into the arena, as the scene fades out to black.
